I'm Mikhael Crystallah-Selk, mushroom hunter, foray leader, mycology academic, fungi nerd and forest wanderer.

I'm here to lead you on educational adventures through the woods of California to learn about and hunt mushrooms solo or in family friendly groups! You will learn about fungi, trees, and their symbiotic relationships while you savor nature's beauty, then leave with your own personal bounty to use as you please (be sure to check out my page on the many uses of mushrooms). On some forays, you may also be invited to stay to participate in a cooking demonstration lead by a chef of 20 years – me!

Through my many years of experience with academic and practical mycology, ecology, hiking, and travelling all around California, you won't find a better guide than me.
